Being Direct Isn’t Harsh. It’s Respect.

“Say what you mean and mean what you say.”

A lifelong friend said that to me years ago, and it completely changed how I communicate. When your words are honest and direct, nobody has to guess. When you say it gently, nobody feels put on the defensive.

Being direct isn’t harsh, it’s respect. You’re picking clarity over confusion, and that usually saves everybody a lot of trouble.
