Starting Gratitude Beacon was hard for me. I kept saying I wanted to talk with people about the conversations that shape our lives, but I was intimidated. I started by writing one sentence. That turned into a post, then another. Now I’ve got notes on more topics than I can get to. The first step is always the hardest, and I’m glad I took it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You’re allowed to be proud of yourself today. Not later, not after some imaginary finish line. Right now counts. In progress counts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So what’s one small thing you’re proud of right now? Doesn’t have to be finished. Doesn’t have to be impressive.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And if somebody names something you’ve been trying to work up to yourself, tell them. Sometimes that’s the push.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The porch light is on. Pull up a chair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
