There have been times when doing what I knew was good for me and my family felt like a burden. Like standing in cement while it hardened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All of it fear. Fear of starting over, of learning something new, of criticism, of letting somebody down. Carrying that around was heavy. When I finally let go, I could physically feel it in my muscles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Some of what we carry was never ours in the first place. Other people’s expectations, old criticism, fears we inherited. They take up a lot of room in a bag that was already full.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Once your hands are free, they’re free for something else.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What’s one thing you’re working on setting down right now? I<\/strong>t doesn’t have to be big.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If somebody names something you’ve been carrying too, let them know.
